A dive horn for safety is a signaling device used by divers, boaters, and lifeguards to alert others to emergencies, surface distress, or underwater communication needs. These horns can be powered by air, gas (such as CO₂ cartridges), or manually operated.
Types of Dive Safety Horns:
1. Air-Powered Dive Horns – Attach to a diver’s low-pressure inflator hose and emit a loud sound both above and below water. Examples include the Dive Alert Plus.
2. Manual Signal Horns – Handheld, squeeze-operated horns that work above water for attracting attention.
3. Boat & Lifeguard Safety Horns – Used for signaling divers from the surface in case of emergencies.
